INDIAN MERCHANT NAVY OFFICER MISSING FROM MSC VESSEL

SECOND OFFICER RANEESH RAVI FROM KERALA MISSING AT SEA.
NewDelhi: Merchant navy officer Raneesh Ravi of Aleppey, Kerala has been found missing from the Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC) vessel Chelsea from near Capetown in South Africa under mysterious circumstances.The Hongkong based company contacted his family to inform of his disappearance since January 25th.Mr.Ravi is a resident of Kallumala near Mavelikkara of Kerala. His father Mr.N Ravi, a sub-inspector in Sashastra Seemabel (SSB) complained tothe minister of foreign affairs Vayalar Ravi and the shipping secretary K.Mohandas to inquire about the incident and to take necessary action.
                               Raneesh who had joined MSC last march, called home on 24th to tell about his departure to Angola.He was reported to be onboard till midnight of 24th.When he didn't report for duty the next day the crew made an extensive search for him and found his cabin door wide open.They searched for hours in the sea, in vain for any trace of him.His mobile phone is also missing.The efforts to find the missing person are still going on.Lets all pray for him to be safe.
